The goal of the GHA art program is to expose our students to a wide range of styles, time periods, and media while integrating other subject areas through a variety of hands-on experiences in art class.

We watch our students’ skills grow and their creativity blossom with pride. We proudly exhibit their artwork throughout our building. Our Art curriculum improves our students’ visual perception and comprehension and this is demonstrated through the media of drawing, painting and sculpture.

Students learn to define, recognize and use the elements of art; they learn to define the principles of design and to recognize, distinguish and appreciate all influences, styles and cultures. As our children get more exposure, they will strengthen their perceptual awareness and cognitive skills through art experiences and will develop skills in producing visual art in a variety of art studies.
