Join the GHA Grandparents' Club today!
Let your grandchildren learn from your example the powerful lessons about involvement, volunteering, and about giving and caring for others. While you give your time, you will be sharing precious moments with your grandchildren and other students as you help them grow in a healthy and stimulating environment. We hope you will choose to participate in some of the volunteer opportunities throughout the school year.
Volunteer Opportunities are endless. Below are some areas in which we would appreciate help. Please see what interests you and email The Grandparents' Club at grandparents@ghacademy.org to indicate your areas of interest.
- Would you like to read or tell stories to a class?
- Would you teach a few children how to play chess?
- Would you help in the science room?
- Would you like to help in the art room?
- Would you teach children how to crochet kippot?
- Would you like to help in the office?
- Would you like to help in the library?
- Would you like to help at GHA sport events?
- Would you like to help on School Picture Day which is in the fall?
- Would you like to help with the Spring Musical Production?
- Would you like to help with the Golf Tournament?
- Would you like to help with the Dinner of Honor?
- Would you like to help with special events such as the Chumash and Siddur Presentations?
- Would you like to help update and maintain our alumni database?
- Do you have expertise in a specific area that you would be happy to share with a group of students?
GHA is happily going to offer computer classes for Grandparents and VIPs in several different areas: Microsoft Word, uploading and sharing pictures, and e-mailing.
As you can see, there are countless ways in which you can become involved. We want your involvement!
