GHA to start Infant Toddler Village

GHA will be starting an Infant & Toddler Village for our GHA families in the 2009-2010 school year.  Like the rest of our early childhood department, we will draw inspiration from the municipal preschools of Reggio-Emilia, Italy.

The Reggio-Emilia approach to infant and toddler care is guided by core values:

· An intentional environment that serves as the "third teacher"

· The exploration of the 100 "languages" of children (art, music, dramatic play, etc.)

· Parent partnership

· Collaboration and inquiry

· Professional development
