Alumni Pride
GHA graduates go on to be successful in a wide range of fields and occupations.
Our students go onto high school well prepared for the challenges they will face. Many of them have excelled at top universities, and in their chosen professions.
Our 53-year-history shows a proven track record for grounding students in sound academic skills and good values. Many of our students are leaders in their communities and their professions. Our graduates are teachers, doctors, dentists, CEO's, CFO's - anything they choose to be - and we are proud of each and every one of them.
GHA is also proud to recognize alumnus Dr. Hilliard Gastfriend, who will be honored at the Dinner of Honor on January 13th, 2008. Dr. Gastfriend graduated from GHA in 1968. In 2005, he graciously created the Esther Malka and Abraham Gastfriend Technology Fund in memory of his parents.
The fund has enabled us to create a twenty computer Math Center complete with Larson Math software; to setup a video lab with cameras and three computers for editing; as well as to put SmartBoards and voice amplification systems into classrooms - and this is only the beginning. We envision that the money from the Gastfriend Fund will enable us to stay on the cutting edge of technology for schools. Dr. Gastfriend wanted his gift to touch the most children possible, and with every grade using the computers, labs and SmartBoards, we believe we are achieving this goal.
We also have world-class athletes as graduates. Sada and Emily Jacobson, seen below, represented the U.S. on the Olympic fencing team. Mazel Tov to the Jacobson sisters and their parents!
