GHA Principal Leah Summers:

"We Teach Children, Not Curriculum."

Leah Summers comes to GHA from the Cohen Hillel Academy, a K-8 school like ours, in Marblehead, Massachusetts where she worked for 27 years. During that time, she held a variety of positions including: Lower School Principal, Assistant Principal, Director of Student Services, Jewish Studies Teacher and General Studies Teacher. She has been the Interim Co-head of School for the past year. She obtained her Masters in Symbolization and Reading Development from Wheelock College in 1980 and her B.S. in Early Childhood Education also from Wheelock College in 1975. Leah is married to Harold and they have two wonderful children.

Leah is warm and passionate about kids and the value of a Jewish Education. She is a real hands-on educator. She knows who we are and understands the value of a GHA education. She beautifully articulates GHA’s Mission and is eager to spread that word around Atlanta.
